Louisville, KY (February 10, 2016) – Jon Walker has been appointed as a new agent with Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Insurance at the Nelson County Farm Bureau–Central Agency. Walker’s appointment was announced in Louisville by Chuck Osborne, Vice President of Agency Support & Marketing for KFB Insurance.
Walker, an Illinois native, graduated from York College with an associate’s degree in arts. Prior to joining KFB Insurance, he spent 15 years in the sales and marketing industry and also founded, operated and sold an online business. He and his wife, Holly, a principal in the Nelson County School System, have two school-aged children and are members of Elizabethtown Church of Christ.
In his new position, Walker will call on the residents of Nelson County to offer a wide variety of insurance coverage through KFB Insurance. He will work with the Agency Manager, David Williams, and the staff at Nelson County Farm Bureau located at 106 Reardon Boulevard, Bardstown, KY, 40004, and can be reached by phone at 348-8446.
Walker joins a well-established network of approximately 400 Kentucky Farm Bureau agents statewide. The company, founded in 1944, has offices in all of the commonwealth’s 120 counties. Farm Bureau markets a wide variety of insurance lines, from homeowner’s and automobile coverage to life and health insurance and retirement planning.
The insurance services are affiliated with Nelson County Farm Bureau, one of the largest membership organizations in the county. Farm Bureau members have access to a variety of membership services, including discount buying programs, college scholarships, farm marketing, and leadership development activities.
