President’s Report – Roger Fannin

Fellow Agents,

I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend our December 5th Agent Caucus for their support in electing me as the Agents Representative on the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation Board of Directors. It’s a vote of confidence that I truly appreciate.

On Saturday December 6th I was seated on our State Board and officially attended my first Federation Board meeting. My first observation is this is a large and very important organization for our Farm Bureau families. Topics ranged from legislative priorities to setting the 2015 Calendar of events. I know there is a learning curve and I want to let you know that I am excited to accept this challenge.

I also had the honor of attending my first Insurance Board meeting on December 18th. It’s important to remember that the agent’s representative attends only as an invited guest of the insurance board. It was reported that as of November 148 agencies were profitable while only 25 were not. Great underwriting and Mother Nature is contributing to another very good year for our organization.

We have many dedicated individuals who actively participate in our organization. Our board of directors, district Presidents and I thank you for your interest in promoting our organization.

I do believe in building relationships. It’s an essential part of what we do every day. With the support of every agent in this association we can achieve more than as a single voice. We cannot expect to succeed without having a team approach.

Looking forward to a great 2015!
